50 year old man rape a 3yrs old minor to death in Funtua

The Nigerian Police Katsina state command have arrested a fifty-year-old man, Abdullahi Sani alias MAI’AYA of Jabiri area in the Funtua local government area of the state, for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl to death.
The police spokesman in the state, DSP Gambo Isah, in a statement on Monday said Sani was arrested on October, 12.
According to him, Sani allegedly lured the toddler to an uncompleted building at Jabiri area and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The little girl was said to have sustained serious injuries from the act and was rushed to Funtua General hospital where she died the following day.
Sani was said to have confessed to the crime.
The police spokesman said investigation had commenced on the incident.
Isah said “Katsina state Command wishes to inform the general public that, on 12/10/2017 at about 15:00hrs, it has succeeded and arrested one Abdullahi Sani alias MAI’AYA aged 50yrs ‘m’ of Jabiri area, Funtua LGA of Katsina state who raped a 3yrs old Umma Ibrahim of the same address.
“Suspect lured the little girl into an uncompleted building and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her. She was rushed to Funtua General Hospital and later died on 13/10/2017 at about 10:30hrs due to the injuries she sustained as a result of the rape.
“Suspect confessed to the crime while investigation is still ongoing into the case.”
